See specimens over 200 years old
The Camprodon Oak Grove, also known as la roureda de Can Pascal, is a large leaf oak forest (Quercus petraea) which are native to southern Europe. Home to specimens over 200 years old it is protected for its ecological, forestry and landscape value. Here, hazel, birch, holly and a host of other plant species coexist combining to make this forest a unique place.

The oak tree is self-sufficient, which means that man intervenes as little as possible and the forest follows a natural evolutionary process; trees are not cut down, fallen trees are left as they are, paths are left uncleared, etc.

A wealth of wildlife coexists here from mammals such as deer, wild boars, foxes, squirrels, martens and badgers, to birds like woodpeckers, nuthatches, short-toed treecreepers, all kinds of tit birds, warblers, buzzards and jays along with reptiles and amphibians like frogs, salamanders and lizards.
